Hi Keith,
Great radio talk shows!

An idea for your web site:
Create a shorter alias for your web site, because some users
may have difficulty keying in your long web site domain name.

For example, barnesandnoble.com uses the alias bn.com (try it).

You could use tgacom.com (or similar) to link to theglobaladventure.com.
And you could reserve this second domain name at godaddy.com.

Next, in a “dummy” web page at http://www.tgacom.com/index.htm place the HTML line:

Then, whenever someone browses to tgacom.com, they will be immediately
transferred to http://www.theglobaladventure.com/.

Best Regards,
Patrick M.

THANKS, PAT.

We agree, and have tried many alternatives, including tga.com. But nothing great is available. We’ll keep trying, however.

Tom,

The only broadcast station on which we currently air is on KFYI in Phoenix.

HOWEVER, that is exactly why we post the show each Sunday to our website. Your friend need only come here, to www.theglobaladventure.com. We archive all shows for about two months — they are right in the blog (the right-center column).

Many web visitors from around the globe are now enjoying the show in this way.

Hope this helps.

Keith

I’m really enjoying your travel log show on KFYI.

Dear Mr. DeGreen, I’m writing this short note to mention concerns about piracy that exists from southern Philippines, along Indonesian Islands, Straits of Malacca and into the Indian Ocean. Around 4 years ago, an American pirate victim survivor was interviewed on coasttocoastam.com I think he wrote a book about being boarded at night and life spared only because pirates saw family pictures. They robbed him, tied him up and left. I do not recall his name, the book title, nor whether George Noory or Art Bell interviewed him.

I don’t know if one can maintain any contacts with US, British, or Australian naval vessels or not, or obtain up to date piracy and criminal activity warnings from the
United States State Department, etc. It would be easy for an “ill intentioned visitor” (or a bribed port maintenance crew member) to hide a tracking device aboard to effect an intercept at a point of their choice. I sincerely hope there is a lot of protection reduncancy in place. (Hopefully Nordhaven has capability of keeping the craft under some type of special protective surveillance via satellite. (And only when the captain requests such back up.)

I am not a psychic, only a concerned listener who recalls the frightening interview on coasttocoastam several years ago. (As a US Navy sailor, we went through that region in the early 1950s.) Best wishes for a safe and enjoyable cruise. We hope to see you back here in Arizona in a year or two.
Sincerely, an Arizona radio program listener.

JOHN,

I appreciate your concern and want you to know that we have taken, and will continue to take, all necessary precautions. There are a number of sources for current information on piracy. In the China Sea and Sulu Sea regions matters have actually improved substantially due to increased naval enforcement by several countries.

Nevertheless, we exercise extreme caution and are well equipped for any contingency.

Penny, I think of how that newborn child had to grow up without his natural father. I only wish we could have produced a better result for that family’s sacrifice.

Keith,
Thanks so much for sharing your fabulous global adventure. It’s like we all get to travel with you. Mac looked like he was guiding you well. His outfit looks like it would help protect from the sun here in AZ as well.

Cordially, Jim Vaughn
PS. Did you get a waterproof belt and passport case yet so you even have it when swimming.?

JIM,

Haven’t gotten the waterproof passport case yet, but am definitely looking. Thanks for the kind words, and yes, Mac did a great job — and had a great time!

Really like your show about China, I am currently listening delayed (via your website), listening to your show on Shanghai. I listened to you “live” via KFYI when you were in HK and you had me intrigued, that’s why I am back. I have not listened to you in quite a while (years). Your sale to AIG was news to me too. Great job explaining to us all about China. I look forward to listening to your Jul 15 show and hopefully catch you “live” on KFYI again. Happy travels.

Chong

CHONG,

Point of clarification: I sold my firm to WealthTrust. They elected to affiliate the company with AIG Financial Advisors, as had we. Glad you are enjoying the show and website.
